About Kathryn Alexander MA

Kathryn Alexander MA Kathryn Alexander, MA has been recording the essence of nature for over forty years. By making small things important she intends to expose the sacred in Nature, sharing that blessing with you.

Kathryn uses only her iPhone and utilizes recycled and refurbished frames whenever possible. Things that attract her, and have from the beginning, are patterns, trees and their bark, lichen, flowers, and rocks. Nature is what captures her imagination!

Kathryn is a serial entrepreneur, meaning she starts one business after another. One of her early business' was Lamb's End, one of the first weaving and spinning stores in the nation.

She was happy to leave the lengthy process of weaving for the much quicker results in photography. Her love of texture and pattern can still be seen in the images she makes today.

She credits her photography with helping in her healing process from stage 3b liver cancer - no chemo, no radiation.

Her trust in science, and the knowledge that everything (including her) is vibration and frequency, meant she chose health instead of ‘fighting’ and is now a vibrant and healthy almost 80 troublemaker.

She lives with her daughter, her Shih Tzu – Rowdy, and the very young and feisty cat Sassafras (Sassy). She spends much of her time in Spokane working to stimulate her neighbor’s involvement in their future through her Chairmanship of District One Leadership, former chair of the Bemiss Neighborhood Council, her representation on the Community Assembly and the involvement with various Community Assembly committees. She ran for Spokane City council in 2017 – and lost.

She is a writer, with four books on Amazon and several blogs, a mystic and a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Spokane, a futurist, and a public speaker.
